Timothy David Becker, M.D.

Dr. Daniel Cabrera is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. He is a psychiatrist and physician-scientist with a background in circadian rhythms and sleep research, conducted in the Nobel Prize–winning laboratory of Dr. Michael Young at Rockefeller University. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Columbia University, where he investigated how developmental changes in neurons influence mechanosensation. During medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College, he led a clinical study exploring the use of portable imaging devices to detect ophthalmological pathologies. Dr. Cabrera is deeply committed to leveraging emerging technologies to bridge the gap between basic science and clinical practice, with the goal of developing innovative tools for the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders. Dr. Cabrera recently graduated from the Weill Cornell Medicine Adult Psychiatry training program and joined the faculty at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health, where he is working as an attending in the Psychosis program. Dr. Cabrera was recently awarded the teaching award for "Dedicated Teaching and Outstanding Mentorship of Medical Students by a Graduating Resident."

Dr. Bem Atim is an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. He earned his M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College. He then completed his psychiatry residency at New York University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident in his last year, and then subsequently completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Atim then worked as an inpatient attending psychiatrist at NYU Tisch Hospital, on a voluntary-only unit treating patients with acute psychiatric conditions. In 2021, he became the unit chief and medical director of this unit. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Atim was an active educator: he joined the undergraduate medical education team as the Associate Clerkship Director of Psychiatry, and earned numerous teaching awards during his tenure at NYU both in resident and medical student education.

Sarah Nachimson, Psy.D., holds appointments as Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Psychologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She maintains an active faculty practice within the Weill Cornell Specialty Center, where she sees children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Nachimsons expertise is in the treatment of eating, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and mood-related disorders. She has received extensive training in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).Dr. Nachimson received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology summa cum laude from Yeshiva University. She received her APA-accredited doctoral degree in School-Community Psychology from Hofstra University, completing her pre-doctoral internship in public elementary/middle school and university counseling center settings. Dr. Nachimsons doctoral dissertation explored associations between different forms of perfectionism and religiosity and examined their effects on well-being. After graduation, Dr. Nachimson completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she received intensive specialized training in the treatment of eating disorders, in both the inpatient and outpatient departments.Dr. Nachimson is licensed inNew York and New Jersey.
