The Washington Market School

Founded in 1976, The Washington Market School is an independent nonprofit, nonsectarian, educational organization that serves as a preschool, kindergarten and after-school center for students between the ages of 2 and 6 in New York. The school is a Montessori-affiliated early childhood center. It is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Early Childhood Council of New York City, Child Care, and Independent Schools Admission Association of Greater New York. The Washington Market School has been certified by the New York State Department of Education. It organizes several fundraising events, such as art shows, auctions and potluck dinners.
