HistoryThe Learnatory concept began in 1977 as a homework help and tutoring program in Los Angeles, California. In 1978, it opened in Chicago, Illinois and operated there as well as Naperville, Illinois until 2014 when Founder and Executive Director, Debra Brown-Thompson moved to Brooklyn, New York.
