The Rare Bear first opened as a collectible Teddy Bear Shop, selling handmade, limited edition, artisan bears made in Europe and the USA. We have been mentioned in The New York Times and Hudson Valley Magazine. The famous NYC toy store, FAO Schwartz, consulted us about rare Steiff Teddy Bears.

Beautiful toys. High end quality. Four stars because the last time we were in there the woman behind counter wasn't very pleasant. She made us feel uncomfortable. I was in there with teenage girls...
