The Partners Insurance Agency

History

The history of our firm began with the establishment of two insurance agencies: the Peter B. Ellis Agency in Owego, NY in 1937, and the Victor B. Taylor Agency in Vestal, NY in 1944. Each of these firms developed and grew to become Ellis, Edson, Beaudry, Inc. in Owego, and Barrett & Chubb, Inc., in Vestal, NY. In 1985, these two agencies came together in order to streamline and perpetuate management, expand our services to clients, and serve a broader market area. The merged company adopted a new name to reflect its new character: The Partners Insurance Agency. The Partners, in combination with its predecessor firms, has now served residents, businesses and public entities of Broome, Tioga, and surrounding counties, continuously for 80 years.
