History

The Little Gym concept sprang from the heart and mind of founder Robin Wes. An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. Robin created an environment filled with the spirit to achieve rather than the pressure to win. Robins non-competitive approach was unheard of back then. The Little Gym first opened in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington. Since then, we have honed the teaching methods that Robin had set into motion. And while Robin continues to create original music for each lesson, his inspiring vision has evolved into something bigger. In 1992, the concept was franchised, spreading The Little Gyms methods and results across the globe. Today, children in more than 300 gyms worldwide experience the positive results of The Little Gym.

Our trained instructors nurture happy, confident kids through a range of non-competitive programs including parent/child classes, gymnastics, dance, sports prep, and pre-school prep, plus enjoyable extras like camps, Parents Survival Nights and Awesome Birthday Bashes. Each week, progressively structured classes and a positive learning environment create opportunities for your child to try new things and build self-confidence, all with a grin that stretches from ear to ear.
