The Journey Church

History

On Easter Sunday of 2002 a handful of people gathered in two Manhattan campuses as The Journey began weekly services for the first time. From the very beginning, The Journey was one church that met in two campuses - on the Upper West Side on Sunday mornings and in the East Village on Sunday evenings. From there, The Journey has steadily grown in numbers and ministries (just check out the number of people we have in Growth Groups and serving in our community). Over the years we have met in comedy clubs, church basements, off-Broadway theaters, public schools, hotel ballrooms and even in larger concert venue. Today The Journey has 3 locations in Manhattan - The Village, Upper West Side, and the Upper East Side. In addition, we have campuses in Queens, Staten Island, and Raton, FL.

The Journey has always been a diverse group of people united by our desire to give the people of the Metro New York area the best opportunity to become fully developing followers of Jesus.
