History

Before The Inn at Five Points came into existence, the property had a series of owners since it was first purchased in 1885. George W. King resided at 102 Lincoln Avenue with his wife and son. In fact, his son, named Almeron, was a carpenter by trade and worked on the construction of many large buildings in Saratoga. In 1886, the two-story Stick style house was constructed, a popular style between 1860 and 1890. Typical of the style, the house which still stands today, features a steeply pitched roof with overhanging eaves with exposed rafters, wood cladding interrupted by patterns of horizontal, vertical or diagonal boards, and tower. The house was later purchased in 1984 and Robert and Stephanie Melvin restored and opened it as the Westchester House Bed and Breakfast. The Melvin's sold 102 Lincoln Avenue to the current owners, James and Eilis Petrosino of Hyde Park, New York, on September 19, 2015. The Petrosino's opened The Inn at Five Points in May, 2016, and the rest is history!
