History
The Homestead opened as a guesthouse at CAS in 2012. This building was a former stage coach stop and inn for much of its 200 year history.
Specialties
The Homestead is a newly renovated pre-Civil War farmhouse on the grounds of Catskill Animal Sanctuary, restored using traditional building methods and eco-friendly salvaged materials. Guests enjoy a seasonal vegan breakfast and spend quality time with our 300+ rescued residents. And all visitors enjoy the beautiful Hudson Valley and its unrivaled hiking, shopping, dining and more! Note: Dogs are allowed to stay at The Homestead, but cannot visit the sanctuary grounds.

Loved everything about this property!!!! Rented the whole property for a long weekend, got to spend some quality time with the rescued animals at the farm. The house was cozy, clean and pet friendly.
