The Brothers Deli, originally established as Mike's Cafe in 1935 by Mike and Dora Burstein, has been a staple in the restaurant scene for over 70 years. After relocating and rebranding in 1959 under the management of Mike's sons, Leonard and Sam, the deli expanded to a successful chain with numerous locations across Minnesota and North Dakota.

After a period of decline, Leonard's son Jeff Burstein revitalized The Brothers Deli in downtown Minneapolis in 1993, and it has since continued to serve its loyal customers at its current location since 2000.
