Rochester Hearing & Speech Center is a nonprofit agency and clinic that provides diagnostic procedures for individuals suffering from hearing and speech disorders and impairments. The agency is located in Rochester, N.Y., and was established in 1922. It has a staff of more than 30 professional and certified speech-language pathologists and over seven audiologists. It serves more than 20,000 children and adults annually. It provides various services, such as assessment and evaluation of various aspects, symptoms and causes of speech and language developmental problems. It offers individualized services and therapies according to clients criteria. Additionally, it encourages family members involvement for speech-language evaluation and therapy for providing assistance to their children at home. It also offers individual and group speech therapies, interactive programs, monitoring, and counseling services to parents and adults. Rochester additionally provides assessments for the identification of hearing disorders and offers screenings and support services for coping with the hearing problems. It also organizes health seminars and has a store that stocks hearing aids and equipment, such as ear sets and amplifiers.
