Established in 1846, The American Hotel is one of the historic landmarks in Sag Harbor in New York. The hotel is a member of the Historic Hotels of America and is also included in America's Elite 1000 hotels. Its guest rooms feature antique furnishing and artwork, as well as bathrooms with Jacuzzi bathtubs, hair dryers, and imported Italian towels and bathrobes. Each of the hotel s guest rooms also includes heating equipment, fully stocked minibars, clock radios, telephones, duvets and air conditioners. The American Hotel houses a restaurant that features a bar room with fireplace, atrium and silver-laden dining rooms. In addition, it maintains a gift shop that sells a variety of items.
