History

Tesla Electric Corp. was started by Ivo Puhalovic, and immigrant to America from Eastern Europe. Ivo studied Electrical Engineering in the Former Yugoslavia and was deeply moved by the accomplishments and achievements of fellow countryman Nikola Tesla. Upon arriving to the United States in the late 1960s, Ivo found work as an electrician and, after a decade of hard work, founded Tesla Electric Corp. Throughout his career, Ivo would wire the residences of John Lennon (The Dakota), Robert De Niro (Tribeca) and Penny Marshall (Park Ave.), as well as restaurants and boutiques, some of which are Fish and Eddie, Vince and Eddie, Pig Heaven, and La Marmite. Tesla Electric Corp. would develop into a specialist of high-end boutique and residential wiring. Recently, Ivo is joined by his son, Sammy Puhalovic who has completed a double major in Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Together, they continue the tradition of a well-established family business with pride and integrity.

Tesla Electric Corp. is a family owned and run business of Licensed Electrical Contractors in New York City, the State of New Jersey, and Westchester County. We perform electrical wiring of the following types: residential, high-end residential, boutique, restaurant, special-lighting, brownstones, townhouses, and lofts, as well as all commercial and industrial types of wiring as well.
