History
First Tap Beer store opened in September 2011 at 2081 E 19th St in Brooklyn. It was the first beer store in NYC that used counter pressure foam-free growler filling system. The second Tap Beer store opened in February 2016 at 1416 Ave Z in Brooklyn. Tap Beer bar is the first place of the chain where beer is served for drinking on premises and where hot food is offered. It opened on December 22, 2017.

Good beer selection, also have snacks/ sides for it. Depending on the day, it's a mixed crowd that can get unpleasant as some patrons don't know how to act after drinking too much. Very casual...
