Anna Alperovich, MD, is a hematologist-oncologist at the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital where she cares for patients with blood cancers who are in need of astem cell transplant or cellular therapy.Specializing in treating patients with a wide range of blood cancers, including lymphomas, leukemias and bone marrow failures, Dr. Alperovich uses bone marrow transplantation with autologous stem cells—in which immature, healthy cells are taken from the patient and given back after chemotherapy—orallogeneic stem cells, which come from a genetically matched donor. She also uses chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, an innovative cellular therapy-based treatment in which immune system cells called T-cells are altered in a laboratory and re-infused into the patient to fight their blood cancer.Dr. Alperovich received her medical degree from the University of Grenada in the West Indies in 2012. She completed her residency at New York University, hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, and specialized training in Bone Marrow Transplant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Prior to this position, Dr. Alperovich worked as a stem cell transplant physician at Northwell Health.Dr. Alperovich is an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medicine and assistant attending at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She is fluent in both English and Russian. Dr. Alperovich has published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, with a focus on hematologic malignancies. She is a member of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT). She is also a recipient of an American Society of Hematology (ASH) abstract achievement award.

Dr. Brooke Spector is an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College.After graduating with a B.S from Cornell University in 2005, Dr. Spector attended New York Medical College where she earned her medical degree (M.D.). She then completed her residency training in Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Spector remained at NYP/Weill Cornell to serve as Chief Resident for the 2013-2014 academic year. She also went on to pursue additional training in medical education scholarship on a national level.Dr. Brooke Spector is double board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. She splits her time clinically between the inpatient pediatric units and the newborn nursery. She has a particular interest in medical decision making.

Dr. David Majure is the Medical Director of the Heart Transplant Service at Weill Cornell Medicine. He specializes in the care of patients with heart failure, patients requiring or who have a heart transplant or ventricular assist device (LVAD), and patients with pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Majure received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as well as a Masters in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed his training in cardiology and advanced heart failure at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. He subsequently served as Director of Research of the Advanced Heart Failure Program at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C and Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support at North Shore University Hospital, where he developed the left ventricular assist device (LVAD) program. He has contributed extensively to research and has served as principal investigator in multiple clinical trials, exploring all aspects of advanced heart failure. Dr. Majure has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2020.
