Syntec Optics

Started in 1981, Syntec Optics is one of the largest independent custom manufacturers of polymer optics in the United States. Located in Pavilion, N.Y., the ISO 9001:2000 certified company has manufactured optics for defense, medical and biometrics programs. Its in-house services include design of plastic optics, hybrid optics and electronic components; high precision injection molding; tool and mold manufacturing; single point diamond turning; high refraction diamond turning; integrated assembly and full metrology, including custom fixtures wherever needed. Syntec Optics offers a full range of metrology services that can analyze developed lenses to predict performance under a range of circumstances. A Winner of the Frost and Sullivan 2008 North American Polymer Optics Growth Excellence of the Year Award, it is a member of UK Photonics Cluster and Rochester Photonics Cluster, among others.
