The Sweet Things Bake Shop was founded in 2000 to train local teenagers in the culinary arts and basics of running a small business, and to raise funds for Lower Eastside Girls Club programs. All Bake Shop apprentices work under the direction of two master bakers. Sweet Things products are nationally-known for their superior quality and beautiful presentation.

The Lower Eastside Girls Club's Sweet Things Bake Shop specializes in delicious handpainted butter cookies and delectable cupcakes for special events, weddings, corporate gifts and parties. All income supports job training programs and mentorships for Lower East Side girls.

Community development doesn't get better than this 12-24yr old girls entrepreneurial mentorship program. I respect these women, their integrity, their ambition, and their coooookies!
