Medaille University, formerly known as Medaille College, was a private, nonsectarian institution located in Buffalo, NY. Established in 1937, it provided personalized, practitioner-based learning experiences to a diverse student body of undergraduate, graduate, and online students. Unfortunately, due to declining enrollment, outstanding liabilities, and other challenges affecting colleges and universities across the region, state, and nation, Medaille University announced its permanent closure in 2023.

Throughout its nearly 100-year history, Medaille University survived various difficult times, including World War II, economic recessions, and a global pandemic. Despite its efforts to establish partnerships and strengthen its financial position, the university was unable to ensure long-term viability. Medaille alumni, totaling over 20,000 individuals, continue to make a significant impact in their local and global communities, leaving behind a lasting legacy.
