Sumner Headstart

The Head Start is a program offered by People's Equal Action and Community Effort (P.E.A.C.E.), which is a federally designated community action agency in Onondaga County, N.Y. The Head Start program assists children between the ages of 3 and 5. It offers early childhood development, health care and other support services to participants and their families. P.E.A.C.E. provides a variety of programs and services for low-income individuals and families. Its services include emergency assistance, crisis intervention, weatherization, senior care employment support and advocacy. It has a community center that organizes nutrition luncheons, wellness programs, dances, card games, day trips and other celebrations for senior citizens. The Head Start program is located in Syracuse, N.Y.
