Stork and Cradle

History

Stork and Cradle was born out of Tamara's background of being a mother and serving as a nurse in labor and delivery units in NYC's hospitals and at the infamous Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center. Stork and Cradle brings balance in maternity care by filling gaps of information and empowering women to take a stand in their own health care. We want couples to believe they can have a safe, rewarding childbirth experience no matter if they have an epidural, no epidural, or need a cesarean birth. We believe women already know a lot. We just mentor them to believe it themselves.

Specialties

Classes are held at Babies R Us Union Sq and New York Presbyterian- CHONY. Lactation Consults are held at 11 E. 86th St and 2235 Frederick Douglass Blvd. Classes are taught by Certified Comprehensive and Lamaze Childbirth Educators, International Board Certified Lactation Consultants and American Heart Association Certified CPR Instructors. Oscar Insurance covers our Childbirth, CPR, Baby Care, Breastfeeding, Online Childbirth, and Cesarean Birthing Classes. If you have Oscar Insurance, there is no out of pocket fee for you. Stork and Cradle accepts insurance payments for breastfeeding class and in-person lactation visits from: -Empire Blue Cross/Shield -Aetna -The Empire Plan -Cigna -United -Oxford Freedom (not Liberty) -EmblemHIP (doesn't cover breastfeeding class) -The NYS Empire Plan
