Starting in 1999, Dr. Jason Priset has been providing exceptional training and education to guitarists, lutenists, and ukulele players all over New York State from Fredonia State College, Montclair University, and Stony Brook University, to the greater Metropolitan area of New York City.

Stony Point Guitar Lessons has been providing a musical education to the people of Stony Point, NY and vicinity for 20 years. We specialize in guitar lessons, lute lessons and ukulele lessons. Jason Priset is our specially trained and certified teacher. He holds a Master of Music degree and a Doctor of Musical Arts. He has more than 15 years of experience teaching music and musical instruments. He has taught at Stony Brook University and in the public school system at Ivy League School and St. Mary's Elementary, both in NY. Dr. Priset also performs professionally, and enjoys many styles of music including blues, rock, folk, jazz and classical. He has assisted many students in getting accepted into higher learning institutions such as Stony Brook and Adelphi Universities, SUNY Fredonia and Peabody Institute. With this level of knowledge and experience, Stony Point Guitar Lessons can offer you the highest degree of professionalism as you receive your music lessons.

HistoryAfter attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, I returned to Ann Arbor, Michigan to focus on teaching and playing. I spent many years touring the country playing in various bands and sharing the stage with groups such as Fuel, Sarah McLachlan, Rick Nielsen, The Dixie Chicks and Richie Havens. As of August 2018, I am based in Upper Nyack, NY.SpecialtiesI have been a professional drummer and musician for over twenty five years and have been playing since the age of six. I offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced drum lessons. I will help you refine your technique and build confidence, while giving you the creative freedom to pursue a variety of drumming styles.
