Wow, it's been four years since the kids started Chess at PS98Q and I have to say, since STEAMchess started over sighting the Chess programs 2 years ago, it's been a huge difference in consistency...

STEAMchess was founded in response to the growing interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics among young children in Queens, New York.

STEAMchess is founded on the core belief that all children would greatly benefit from the grand game of Chess. It is our intention to grow a robust scholastic Chess community in Queens. Whether your child wants to play for fun or is a future Chess Master in the making, we will provide the tools to reach each your student's goals. Chess develops and expands critical reasoning, strategic planning, along with spatial analysis which in turn improves focus and concentration; all the while the kids are having a blast.

Heard nothing but amazing things about the STEAMchess programs from other parents and so we signed up, now we can also attest to the wonderful Chess classes they run. The kids have a lot of FUN...

STEAMches did a fantastic job introducing my family to chess. Now I am afraid to play chess with my children as they constantly beat me.

My son was attending chess program at PS 98. They change chess coaches all the time, some come late, others just do not come and class gets canceled at last minute.
