The Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department (SVVFD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing fire safety and emergency medical services for residents and recreational enthusiasts in the north-eastern foothills above San Jose and Milpitas, California. Equipped and trained to the same professional state-certified level as full-time paid firefighters, SVVFD volunteers are committed to protecting a 200 sq mile area of hillside wildlands.

With a mission to rapidly respond to emergencies and educate residents on reducing fire danger risks, SVVFD relies on fundraisers and donations to support its operating budget.
