History
Built in 1899, the Oakland Hotel has been a landmark in the village of Whitney Point for well over 100 years. Located at 2680 Main Street in Whitney Point. Over the years, The Oakland Hotel had fallen into disrepair, until the Reynolds family decided to purchase the building in November 2008 and restore it's once beautiful interior and exterior--and the renovations are ongoing. With the newly refurbished Pub & Grill, we're now serving the area's best Thin Crust Hot Pies and other menu favorites (Loaded Fries anyone?). Good is decent. Service is good but slower. It's always hard to find good help so I don't blame them. The bartenders were great and made large and tasty drinks. It's a nice old place inside....
