Sophia Hu, MD

Carolina Mora is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and a native of Washington Heights. She completed both her BSN and Masters in Nursing at New York University. She began her career at a low-income primary care family practice, then moved onto a medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care of ENT, bariatric, orthopedic and transgender populations as well as general medicine. Upon receiving her Masters, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner at a walk-in clinic where she found gratification in knowing that most of her patients' medical complaints could be addressed after one visit, giving patients the freedom to focus on their everyday lives. Through her nursing experience, she realized that she wanted to focus her career on improving her patients' quality of life, leading her to our ENT practice. She also finds removing cerumen oddly satisfying. Carolina practices with an emphasis on multidisciplinary patient-centered care focused primarily on patient education, evidence based practice, as well as providing quality care. She is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, and places emphasis on the delivery of culturally sensitive patient care. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and traveling the world.

Dr. David Lee received his undergraduate and medical school degrees from Cornell University. He completed his Internal Medicine and Chief Residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital and his Gastroenteroloy Fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Lee has a special interest in pancreaticobiliary disease, IBD, as well as advanced therapeutic endoscopy. His research appears in many peer-reviwed journals. He has also given several lectures and presentations at both regional and national meetings. He is skilled in many advanced endocsopic techniques including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic suturing, endoluminal stenting, and radiofrequency ablation of biliary lesions.
