History

The owner Michael, started framing in 1958 in his grandfather's shop in Brooklyn. In 1977, he opened MFI Art Company which primarily sold art to corporations. After moving to Soho in 1986, he opened up the framing part of his business to the general public as Soho Picture Framing.

Meticulous custom archival and conservation framing: all types of wood frames with stained, painted, or natural finish, gold or silver precious metal leafing, metal, welded steel, and finished corner frames. We do many over-sized works that other shops cannot do. Custom archival mats. Museum quality glass and Plexiglas options. Installation, restoration, and other custom services also available.
