New York Language Center, established in 1986 is certified by the New York State Education Department. The school is located on two floors in the heart of midtown Manhattan, convenient to all buses, subways, Long Island Rail Road and Path trains. The English program at New York Language Center uses a communicative approach and is divided into 10 levels. It is an intensive program that integrates the four language skills: speaking, reading, listening and writing. Classes are taught by experienced faculty who are trained to help students progress. All students are encouraged to practice their newly acquired skills both in and outside of class. Students are given an oral and written placement test and consultation to determine which levels, courses and schedules best meet their needs. All classes are conducted in English and are closely monitored by our academic team. Students can elect to follow an academic track which includes Business English, TOEFL test preparation and advanced writing.Students at New York Language Center enjoy an extensive activities program at little or no extra cost. WiFi access is free, and students can socialize in our spacious lounge area. Hundreds of students have studied with us.
