The goal of Board Certified Podiatrist, Lionel G. Hausman, D.P.M., in the Gramercy Park Neighborhood of Manhattan, is to provide high-quality podiatric care to women, men, and children, throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area. He has been practicing in Gramercy Park for over 28 years.Dr. Hausman began his professional pursuits at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He subsequently enrolled at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. There, Dr. Hausman excelled in the program, receiving the Walter Green Memorial Award. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1990.Before entering private practice, Dr. Hausman also completed a Podiatric Residency at the New York College of Podiatric Medicines Affiliated Hospitals which included Gouverneur Hospital, Coney Island Hospital, and Beekman Downtown Hospital.Dr. Hausman proudly holds membership in the American Diabetes Association and Pi Mu Delta. He participates in the Medicare Diabetic Shoe Program and dispenses both custom and non custom molded shoes and braces.Dr. Hausman diagnoses and treats a variety of common foot and ankle problems, including ingrown toenails, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, nail fungus, and warts.Dr. Hausman is affiliated with Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Gramercy Surgery Center both of which are located in Manhattan.
