My training includes dual board certification in general and vascular surgery and an additional one year training in open heart surgery. After completion of a general surgery residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, I received the nationally renowned Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for teaching and humanism. I have also received the distinguished classification of fellow of American college of surgeons (FACS). Clinically my practice focuses on advanced minimally invasive techniques to treat patients with aortic and carotid disease. Other unique interests of mine include endovascular repair of complex aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease management and surgical treatment of refractory epilepsy with the use of a vagal nerve stimulator (VNS). I am currently involved in several clinical national trials and have obtained grants for educational purposes.
