Established in 1902 and incorporated in 1950, the Shawangunk Fish and Game Association is renowned as one of the oldest Sportsman’s Clubs in New York State. Situated on 198 acres in the Town of Wallkill bordering Middletown, New York, the club fervently promotes hunting and shooting activities. Boasting 3 trap ranges, 5 outdoor ranges, a 1.5-acre pond, an archery range, and various hunting opportunities, the association offers a diverse array of outdoor experiences.

For shooting enthusiasts, the club provides 4 x 50 yard ranges and a covered 150 yard range, hosting monthly Steel Plate Challenge matches open to the public. Additionally, the club organizes ATA shoots, league shoots, and a junior trap league, as well as fun shoots like ham and turkey shoots. The pond, stocked twice a year with trout, supports catch-and-release fishing for largemouth bass, perch, catfish, and bluegills, ensuring a rewarding angling experience.

Throughout the year, the Shawangunk Fish and Game Association hosts various community events such as Veteran’s Day Fishing, Children’s Fishing Derby, Flea Market, Game Dinner, and Chicken Barbeque. Offering a 100’ x 40’ Pavilion and cookshack available for rental, equipped with full kitchens, the club ensures visitors can enjoy a comfortable and accommodating outdoor experience in the midst of nature.
