In 1921 Mr. Earl Shaw and Mr. Winfield H.Boehler purchased a wholesale business from Dobbs and Son. Over the years the decision was made to begin selling flowers retail as well as continuing the sale of bulbs and plants wholesale. Forever friends, Mr. Shaw went to Cortland, NY and opened a second location. Since then that location has changed ownership, they kept the name but have dropped the affiliation. Born into the family business, Winfield C. Boehler worked with his father his entire life.
