Dr. Kapadia received his undergraduate degree from New York University. He completed medical training at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and continued on to complete an internal medicine residency there as well. He joined Weill Cornell where he completed a residency in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, a fellowship in adult Infectious Diseases, and a masters of Science in Clinical Investigation. Since joining the faculty, Dr. Kapadia has provided inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases care at both Weill Cornell Medical Center and Lower Manhattan Hospital. He is also a member of the Department of Population Health Sciences, where he conducts clinical research related to HIV, hepatitis C, and substance use disorders.

He then attended Baylor College of Medicine wherehe earned his medical degree. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then completed his ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pain Medicine at UC San Diego Center for PainManagement.Outside of work, Dr. Shin is a competitive soccer player and swimmer. As a lifelong athlete, he understands the importance of returning to an active lifestyle and strives to preserve and restore functional outcomes. Dr. Shinultimately aims to reduce pain in his patients while improving their functional recovery, independence, and quality of life.Dr. Shin is fluent in Korean.
