Glenn Jacobowitz, MD, is a highly skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon who serves patients at Northwell Health Physician Partners Vascular Surgery at Lenox Hill as well as Northwell Health Physician Partners Surgery at Phelps. With over 30 years of expertise in the field of vascular surgery, Dr. Jacobowitz is dedicated to providing the highest quality care and compassionate care to his patients. Dr. Jacobowitz is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both surgery and vascular surgery. His areas of focus include superficial and deep venous disease, deep vein thrombosis, and endovascular surgery, including treatment of carotid artery disease and peripheral arterial disease. Dr. Jacobowitz completed his undergraduate degree at Princeton University and medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency in general surgery at the renowned program at New York University Medical Center, further refining his surgical skills and expertise. Dr. Jacobowitz has also completed a prestigious fellowship at New York University Medical Center specializing in vascular surgery. His additional training in this specialized field allows him to offer advanced techniques and innovative treatments to his patients. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Jacobowitz holds the position of System Chief of Vascular Surgery at Northwell Health. In this role, he oversees the development and maintenance of quality inpatient and outpatient vascular procedures across Northwell Health System. Ythan Goldberg, MD is Director of Structural Echocardiography at Lenox Hill Hospital, and Western Regional Director of Structural Echocardiography for Northwell Health. Dr. Goldberg earned his Bachelor of Arts at Cornell University in 1997, followed by his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2001. He performed his postdoctoral training at Montefiore Medical Center, completing an internship and residency in internal medicine in 2004 and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine in 2007.Dr. Goldberg s clinical and research interests focus on advanced echocardiography for valvular heart disease, particularly for transcatheter interventions. His work has been presented in peer-reviewed journals and at regional and national conferences. He serves as review editor for Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine, and is on review committees for Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, Echocardiography, and Medical Education. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, American Heart Association and the International Society of Cardiac Ultrasound.

I believe in treating my patients as whole human beings, not just as body parts or injuries. I always do my best to listen to my patients and tailor my treatments appropriately according to their own prior experiences and personal preferences. I take time during each visit to explain the findings in x-rays and other tests, and make those findings relatable to symptoms and treatment. Although I m a surgeon, I do my best in every case to try appropriate non-surgical treatments first, and reserve surgery as a last resort. My goal is to keep my patients healthy, active, and pain-free with the smallest amount of medication and surgery as possible.My primary specialization is in the treatment of arthritis and other degenerative or traumatic conditions of the hip and knee. If surgery is required, I use the latest technologies including surgical x-ray and robotics to perform partial and total hip and knee replacements with the highest degree of accuracy and predictability. I also treat general orthopaedic conditions such as fractures, dislocations, tendon injuries, and joint inflammation. I believe in treating patients equally and accept nearly all insurance plans.In addition to my clinical practice, I have an interest in research and am actively enrolling patients in trials with the goal of finding more effective medications and surgical technology to benefit future generations. My orthopaedic research articles and review chapters have been accepted into prestigious publications such as the Journal of Arthroplasty and the Orthopaedic Knowledge Update. I work with a team of residents and fellows and oversee their clinical education in the office, hospital wards, and the operating room.
