History

Selma began her design career as a non-paid apprentice after recognizing her passion for design while building her second home. Selma researched, attended many trade events & educated herself about the trade while utilizing her past banking experience to help grow the new fledging company. She attended RIT majoring in Interior Design from 2014-2016. Her dedication to her field, clients, growing her business and community has enabled her to receive recognition from the Rochester Women's Network as an Up & Coming Businesswoman Award recipient in 2011. She has been featured numerous times: Democrat & Chronicle, Houzz, expertise.com and Rochester Woman Online Magazine. Selma Hammer Designs is an innovative & fresh approach residential & commercial interior design/ build company. Our focus is inspirations. Selma always has an inspiration in her designs, whether it is a rug, painting or treasured collections that a client has. Her goal is to exceed expectations & superb customer service.
