Edward McCabe, D.O., MPH is the Director of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell Health, where he is also the Medical Director of the School Health Center at New Dorp and the School Health & Wellness Center at Port Richmond, the Director of the Teen Risk Assessment Program (Teen R.A.P.) and the Medical Director of SIUH's Comprehensive Family Planning and Reproductive Health Program. He is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University. Dr. McCabe completed a Research Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center (New York, NY); after becoming Board Certified in Pediatrics he also completed his Boards in Adolescent Medicine. Dr. McCabe is a Fellow of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine and a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Dr. McCabe served as Co-Chair of the New York City Department of Education s HIV/AIDS Curriculum Committee which established the ground-breaking Condom Availability Program, as well as on the Boards of the AIDS and Adolescents Network of New York (AANNY) and the Staten Island Teen Pregnancy Network, the HIV Health and Human Services Planning Council of New York City (aka the Ryan White Council) and the New York City Department of Health s HIV Prevention Planning Group. Dr. McCabe has been recognized for his personal and professional contributions by receiving the following awards: The Reilly Award for Humanistic Medicine, The Michael Carrera Award for Advocacy and Public Service, The Raymond Jacobs Award for Personal Contribution to the Mission of AANNY and The Joey DePaolo AIDS Foundation Award for Research. Recently, Dr. McCabe has been honored by the Northwell/SIUH ACPs with the 2024 Outstanding Physician Advocate Award, as a Nominee for Northwell's 2025 Truly Caring Award and as a Recipient of the Northwell Health 2025 Outstanding Teacher Award.

"We don't hesitate to reach out to each other and make it a point to discuss each patient's care."Dr. Dhar is an Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and Program Director of the Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship program at Staten Island University Hospital. She feels it is her duty to educate the next generation of Hematologists and Oncologists. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Medical Association. She also provides pro bono cancer consultation services to physicians and their patients through the India Association of the Garden State and the Kashmiri Overseas Association.Dr. Dhar finds the long-lasting relationships she develops with patients and their families a fulfilling part of her work.
