SculptureCenter leads the conversation on contemporary art by supporting artistic innovation and independent thought highlighting sculpture's specific potential to change the way we engage with the world. Positioning artists' work in larger cultural, historical, and aesthetic contexts, SculptureCenter discerns and interprets emerging ideas. Founded by artists in 1928, SculptureCenter provides an international forum that connects artists and audiences by presenting exhibitions, commissioning new work, and generating scholarship. SculptureCenter introduces emerging artists, commissions work of the highest quality in New York, and provides direct support to the artists for the creation of new work, including production funds, curatorial support, and honoraria. SculptureCenter’s programs complement and extend beyond our exhibitions and include panel discussions, readings, workshops, video screenings, performances, and publications including exhibition catalogs and artist books.

Excellent. 1) This museum is small. Come if you are around the area, it will not disappoint. 2) Note: it is suggested price. One dollar is ideal. 3) The museum is two floors.

Came on a Sunday afternoon and we had the whole place to ourselves. The museum was small, maze like. I loved the current exhibitions and I had a really interesting experience here.
