Elant at Fishkill is a more than 150-bed nursing home and rehabilitation center. It has been operating for more than 30 years in Beacon, N.Y. The center offers a specialized dementia care unit; comprehensive rehabilitation clinic for short-term, long-term, outpatient and home care rehabilitation; and therapeutic activity and volunteer programs. Elant at Fishkill provides occupational, physical and speech therapies. The center organizes various activities, including ceramic work, craftwork, concerts, visitations, ethnic programs, social clubs, discussion groups and frequent outings to local restaurants, stores and theaters. Elant at Fishkill also provides dementia care for its residents who suffer from Alzheimer s disease.
