History

Sangha Optical was the idea of a Mother & Son duo, Drupatty and Brian Kanhoye back in 1992! Originally from Berbice, Guyana, Brain Kanhoye wanted to create a business to serve the growing Indo-Caribbean community in New York City. As an aspiring Entrepreneur, Brian took the risk of opening an Optical Store, which he saw as a great opportunity to provide cheap and convenient professional eye-care services. The store has since grown to a full family business with his two sisters continuing to run the business day-to-day.
