The Mastic Fire Department offers fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical services for residents. The department works to preserve and protect residents lives and their properties. It also responds to hazardous automobile incidents. The department conducts disaster exercises, coordinates planning and preparedness activities, and prepares and maintains a resource inventory. The Mastic Fire Department also organizes loss reduction activities, such as inspections, plan reviews, fire investigations, and school safety and adult education programs. About CVFA This section is just a brief description of the Coventry Volunteer Fire Association and how we fit into the Town of Coventry's emergency response plan. Founded as a private corporation in 1936 we were originally the only fire department in town. The original fire station was located at 1216 Main Street just across from the Bidwell Tavern. The department remained in this station for 64 years until we out grew it. In May of 2000 our new station located across the street from the Coventry Town Hall was officially dedicated. We also expanded our coverage to Station 208 a substation located on the corner of South and Judd road.
