Rosen, Anna H MD

Dr. Figueroa obtained his B.A. degree in biology from New York University and his M.D. degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. He subsequently trained in Family Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency Program where he served as a chief resident. He remained a faculty member of the Columbia University Center for Family Medicine, completing a faculty development fellowship and obtaining an M.P.H. degree in Sociomedical Sciences from the Mailman School of Public Health with a concentration in health promotion and disease prevention. At Columbia University Medical Center he served as an outpatient attending physician, and provided instruction to medical students and family medicine residents in a number of areas including clinical family medicine, cross-cultural care/Latino health, primary care research methods, practice management and resident peer education & evaluation.Dr. Figueroa returned to WCMC in September 2006 as the Director of Student Health. In this capacity he provides primary care services to, and oversees the health and wellness of, the next generation of Weill Cornell physicians, scientists and physician assistants. His academic areas of interest include clinical preventive services, health promotion program development and evaluation, cross-cultural care, and web-based education, as well as serving as a role model for various populations in the profession of medicine. He has served as a member of several medical college and hospital committees, including the Committee on Medical School Admissions, the Diversity Committee, and the Emerging Infectious Diseases committee and also served as a medical student faculty advisor. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, and has served on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.Dr. Figueroa’s practice is limited exclusively to the care of Weill Cornell students.

Dr. Alexis P. Melnick is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) of Weill Cornell Medical College. She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Basis of Behavior and Hispanic Studies Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. She went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Melnick is a board-certified Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.Dr. Melnick offers patients a full range of reproductive services in her practice including ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization, fertility preservation, oocyte donation and treatment of reproductive endocrinopathies and recurrent miscarriage, and menopause. She is also a skilled surgeon, performing a variety of minimally-invasive surgical techniques for treatment of endometrial and ovarian disorders.Dr. Melnick has received numerous awards for her clinical excellence and surgical expertise including the Frederick C. Holden Award for Excellence in Obstetrics & Gynecology (NYU) and the Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Surgery Award (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists). In addition, she is a prolific researcher and contributor to the literature, having authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Levy is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and the Director of the Pediatric Ophthalmology service at Weill Cornell Medicine and a member of the Weill Cornell Ophthalmology Department.After graduating from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and New York University. He completed fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology, at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and then pediatric ophthalmology, at Children's Hospital Boston.Before returning to New York, he was a Clinical Instructor of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and on the staff at Children's Hospital Boston, where he was also the director of residency training for the ophthalmology department.Dr. Levy sees children of all ages and adults with strabismus.
