Rome City Hall

Rome City Hall includes various departments, including administrative services, assessor, code enforcement, purchasing, public safety, and community and economic development. It houses the office of the city clerk that issues handicap, peddler, amusement device, fireworks and business permits, as well as animal and taxi licenses. Located in Rome, N.Y., the city hall s administrative services department performs a variety of functions related to the recruitment and selection of personnel, employment policies and procedures, civil service administration and workers compensation. Rome City Hall also operates a public works department that repairs and maintains the transportation, electrical, water and mechanical infrastructures of the city. Additionally, the city hall maintains the office of the city treasurer that provides a range of services in the areas of tax billing and collection, disbursements, payroll, budgeting, revenue collections and accounting.
