Rockland Cider Works - Upstate Partner Elisabeth Van Houten was born and raised on Stryker Road in Gilboa, NY. Elisabeth & her husband, Darin, reside in Orangeburg, NY where they own Rockland County’s first & only hard cidery, Rockland Cider Works located at their farm & garden center Van Houten Farms. Our cider production began in 2018. In the Spring of 2021, the opportunity to acquire the existing B&B property at Elisabeth’s family’s farm in Gilboa became a reality and became Rockland Cider Works – Upstate. Cidery Hours: Friday 3-7, Saturday 12-7, & Sunday 12-6. Our tasting bar is located under an expansive pavilion. All of our cider is naturally sugar-free and gluten-free and made with 100% NY State apples. We also offer other NY State-produced beers, wines & spirits. Our LIVE MUSIC schedule can be found on our cidery website, Facebook & Instagram. Food trucks are on-site most Saturdays & Sundays.
