Rivka Sachdev, M.D.

Dr. Cheng earned her bachelor’s degrees in molecular and cell biology and psychology from UC Berkeley and her MD from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed neurology residency at New York-Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medicine, where she was chief resident in her final year. She underwent a clinical fellowship in vascular neurology at UC San Francisco Medical Center, followed by an NIH Strokenet research fellowship. She served as the director of stroke services at NewYork-Presbyterian – Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and the inaugural site director of the NYP Brooklyn Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit. In 2018 she joined the neurology faculty at Montefiore-Einstein, where she was an assistant professor of neurology, clinical liaison for the Montefiore Comprehensive Stroke Center Network, and chair of the Comprehensive Stroke Center Case Review Committee. She returned to WCM in 2023 to be the site chief for neurology at Lower Manhattan Hospital and the departmental chair of quality improvement.

Dr. Drusin, M.D., M.Sc. is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine – New York Presbyterian Hospital who specializes in pediatric otolaryngology.She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Columbia University in New York. Dr. Drusin also obtained a master’s in science at the K.U. Leuven in Belgium. She completed her residency training at the New York Presbyterian Hospitals of Columbia and Cornell Universities. Following residency, she completed subspecialty training in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Seattle Children’s Hospital of the University of Washington. Dr. Drusin is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO).In addition to the management of common ear, nose and throat problems, Dr. Drusin had advanced training in the management of multiple conditions related to pediatric ear, hearing, and communication disorders. These include cochlear implants, congenital hearing loss including congenital cytomegalovirus infection, progressive hearing loss, cholesteatoma, conductive hearing loss and microtia as well as treatment with hearing aids, bone conduction sound processors, otologic reconstructive surgery, and cochlear implantation. She is also experienced with the management of cleft palate and velopharyngeal insufficiency affecting speech and swallowing.Dr. Drusin is also experienced in the management of airway and swallowing disorders including laryngeal clefts, airway narrowing, and obstructive sleep apnea with minimally invasive endoscopic techniques as well as open procedures. She is also trained in the management of congenital and acquired neck masses including thyroglossal duct and branchial cleft cysts, enlarged lymph nodes, and vascular anomalies including hemangioma.Throughout her career, Dr. Drusin has been recognized with awards for her service and teaching. Sabrine Laue joins the Department of Anesthesiology as a nurse practicioner in the Division of Pain Management. In her role, Sabrine will be responsible for patient care in the outpatient pain clinics at the Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian at the Weill Cornell Medicine Center for Comprehensive Spine Care, Lower Manhattan and West Side. She will triage patient inquiries, communicate test results, coordinate multidisciplinary health care services and arrange diagnostic tests.Sabrine was born in Denmark and raised in South Florida. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida International University and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Miami.Sabrine has over nine years of nursing experience working as a neurosurgical critical care RN in the NICU at Jackson Memorial Hospital, as an advanced practice registered nurse at Palmetto General Hospital, on the COVID-19 Response Team at NYP Allen Hospital, as a critical care RN at George Washington University Hospital and most recently here at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center as a float pool critical care nurse in various ICUs.Outside of work, Sabrine enjoys traveling, reading, visiting friends and family, working out and exploring New York City.
