On the banks of the Mohawk River in Scotia, N.Y., is 15 acres of land that comprise the River Stone Manor. The estate's home is original to the property and was built in the 1800s. Restored to the period, the home offers rest and hospitality as a pre-party venue for guests or a wedding party awaiting a reception gala. The 10,000-square-foot banquet facility has been placed on a knoll with views of the river and surrounding landscape. Since its grand re-opening as an event center in September 2003, the River Stone Manor has established itself as one of the leading locations for banquets, receptions, concerts and meetings in the area.
