Welcome to Rincón Salvadoreño Restaurant. We were established in 1980. We are considered "El Pionero" which means pioneer because we were the first Salvadoran restaurant to open in New York! We are a family-run business in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. Our food is home-cooked and made to order. Reopening the Local Gourmet kitchen, we stock our shelves with market-fresh ingredients, so that the food we serve you is as fresh and flavorful as can be. Stopped by for lunch on a slow Wednesday. The 12.99 lunch special was big enough for 2 meals. We both had the chicharron papusa (yummy), sausage, rice and beans, a piece of queso and a plantain....

it's very welcoming and warm inside. the staff is friendly and attentive. the food is bomb, i have ordered separate occasions and my parents that are from el salvador themselves gives them a 8/10....
