History

This post secondary school has successfully trained thousands of young men and women for careers in various vocations. The success of its students as active members of the workforce and Ridley's dedication to the continued success of its communities led to program expansion. In 2009 the Binghamton campus launched the Beauty School to offer a 1,000 hr Cosmetology curriculum that licenses graduates in New York Sate. This program offers a student run clinic where the community is welcomed into the school for discounted services. The greater Binghamton area enjoys getting hair cuts, blow drys, colors and nails done at Ridley-Lowell Beauty School. The healthcare portion of the school has been around for decades placing Medical Assisting and Medical Administrative graduates into the workforce.

Specialties

Ridley-Lowell provides a full menu of Salon & Spa services including: hair cutting, color, style, waxing, skin care, makeup & body treatments. The 1,000 hour cosmetology program includes comprehensive training in all aspects of hair, Nail Care, skin care and Makeup. Ridley-Lowell offers two healthcare certificate programs; Medical Administrative Assisting and Medical Assisting. The MAA program prepares you for everything from scheduling appointments to maintaining patient records, medical administrative assistants ensure that medical offices and hospitals run smoothly. At Ridley-Lowell, you will learn from experienced instructors who have worked in these fields. Coursework is designed to help you feel confident in your skills to succeed as a medical records clerk, secretary, transcriptionist or other office assistance. The MA program will give you the administrative and clinical skills to prepare for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and Certified Medical Assist (CMA)

Coming back to school was probably one of the best things I've done. The changes that has been made have improved my learning and it has also helped me reach many goals. This place is worth coming to!

I do not recommend this school at all! Very uneducated teachers. Before you go, ask to see documents of how many years each instructor has in TEACHING. Also check the passing rates for the board...
