Richard O'Rourke Middle School

Richard H. O'Rourke Middle School s curriculum meets the New York state requirements for grades six through eight. The school lays emphasis on character education programs. Its curriculum includes English, social studies, science, math, foreign language, family and consumer science, general music and physical education. The school s fully equipped media center provides reading programs, library lessons, book reviews, encyclopedias, newspapers and online databases. The mission of the its counseling center is to work cooperatively with students, school personnel, parents and the community to help students make desirable educational, personal and social decisions. The school offers a wide range of sports activities and also serves meals. It is located in Burnt Hills, N.Y.
