Established in 1947, the Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corps (RVAC) is the first volunteer ambulance service in the town of Ramapo, dedicated to providing high-quality pre-hospital care to the community. Covering approximately 345 square miles, RVAC serves a population of over 40,000, responding to nearly 3,000 calls annually.

With a fleet of five ambulances and one flag car, RVAC relies on volunteers for various roles, including EMTs, drivers, and CPR instructors. As a not-for-profit organization, RVAC actively seeks community support through donations to enhance their services and acquire state-of-the-art equipment for their volunteers.
