Dr. McConnell received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School in 1986. After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University Medical Center she successfully completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California, School of Medicine in 1992. She served as Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas, beginning in 1992. As Division Chief, Dr. McConnell was instrumental in the successful development of the University Institute for Fertility, and served as its Medical Director. She joined Columbia University as an Associate Professor in 2012. Dr. McConnell has a special interest in ovulatory disorders, tubal disease, fibroid disorders, male factor problems, ovarian aging, fertility preservation, In Vitro Fertilization and egg donation.

He has presented research related to these areas of interest at national and international meetings. He has also developed a database registry for patients with autism.Dr. Selman’s areas of clinical practice include headaches and migraine, autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, concussions and head trauma, stroke, spasticity, cerebral palsy, tics and Tourette syndrome.
