Lapham's Quarterly is a renowned magazine based in New York, NY that believes history is the foundation of all education, encompassing scientific, literary, political, and economic aspects. Each issue delves into a current topic of interest, such as war, religion, money, medicine, nature, and crime, by presenting the wisdom and guidance of past authors like Aristotle, Leo Tolstoy, Virginia Woolf, and Mahatma Gandhi. The texts are abridged, never exceeding six pages or six paragraphs, and are accompanied by full-color reproductions of artwork. The magazine also incorporates historical documents, letters, speeches, diaries, and photographs to connect the past with the present.

Editor Lewis H. Lapham, formerly of Harper's Magazine, leads a team of talented individuals who contribute to the magazine's insightful and thought-provoking content. With a focus on bridging the gap between history and the present, Lapham's Quarterly offers a unique perspective on various subjects, making it a valuable resource for those seeking a deeper understanding of the world around them.

I ordered a subscription in August 2021, and have yet to get a single copy. I don't suggest doing business with them.
